Axel Springer AG Continues to go for GW interactive
In the course of extensive changes at Autobild.de, Germany's largest web portal for automobile content, new requirements emerged for the in-house content management system. The system was implemented with GW interactive in 2002 and is being used successfully since then.
The custom-made solution offers the editorial department secure and efficient ways to manage the time-critical content.
Within the scope of the service line Custom Applications Development, the application was now enhanced by a complex user rights management system that matches the internal workflow in a detailed way.
The complete production process of content – from the editor's creation to the final acceptance and activation by the chief editor – is mapped in the new extension. GW interactive implemented both the server-side technology and enhancements to the user interface.
Aditionally, new features were implemented on the public web portal Autobild.de, offering the publishing house new sales opportunities. These include, among others, an extension of the content by new media types, especially focused on broadband connection users, such as videos, interactive 360 degree views and audio streams.
